Our Mission
Our overarching vision is to create audiovisual guidelines, procedures and standards that guarantee a seamless and consistent educational experience for faculty, students, and administrators. Since establishment in 2021, we’ve been entrusted with the responsibilities of standardizing, strategizing, designing, and executing audiovisual solutions within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) educational environments with a mindset towards program and operational development.
Our Responsibilities
We collaborate with a diverse group of FAS and University stakeholders to deliver important instructional services including:
- Managing the inventory of all audiovisual equipment.
- Overseeing project and vendor management for audiovisual enhancements of learning spaces.
- Prioritization, and allocation of funds, and overseeing audiovisual enhancement projects.
- Holding primary responsibility for the operation and enhancement of audiovisual equipment in classrooms scheduled by the FAS Registrar’s office.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for the Teaching & Learning team to escalate AV systems or equipment in need of repair.
- Collaborating with vendor partners to execute projects during the designated summer and winter recesses.
Consultancy Services
For non-registrar spaces, the team consults with the FAS Learning Space Steering Committee (LSSC) to determine funding and resource allocation for further enhancements to audiovisual systems. While these projects are typically client-driven, the Design & Engineering Team offers design consultancy services, contingent upon availability.
